House X is a concept for a large suburban villa. The name comes from its form: the ground floor and the upper floor are rotated against each other, and seen from above the volume suggests the letter X.

The rotation of the floors gives the volume its dynamism. Roofs and slabs project far beyond the line of the glazing and rest on diagonal supports, creating deep canopies and terraces. Storey-high glazing opens the interiors to the garden, while the overhangs shade them from the sun.
